In
2001, I decided to videotape
my outfits for ten years. I was driven to document my style, a
representation of the way a young radical lesbian feminist dressed in
her time. And to capture the queer codes and signs of my
generation.
I
recorded my outfits on a
consistent and sometimes daily basis, using the same shitty mini-dv
camera throughout the year.
By
the beginning of 2012 my
camera broke and I declared the project finished.
What was captured is way more than a look.
